Adams & Martin Group is seeking a highly skilled Family Law Paralegal with one or more years of experience to join our client's dynamic legal team. This position is full-time, on-site, Monday through Friday. The office is located in Clayton, Missouri.

Candidates must be reliable, organized, and have excellent communication and computer skills, with the ability to work compassionately with clients navigating sensitive personal matters.

    1. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
    2. Case Management: Assist attorneys in all stages of family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and modifications; draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
      1. Document Management: Organize and maintain case files, including financial statements, parenting plans, and court filings, ensuring all documents are accurate and easily accessible.
      2. Trial and Hearing Preparation: Assist in preparation for hearings, mediations, and trials by compiling exhibits, preparing witness lists, and coordinating with court personnel.
      3. Client and Team Communication: Communicate with clients in a professional and empathetic manner; gather sensitive information and provide case status updates; act as a team-player assisting other paralegals and attorneys.
      4. Deadline Management: Track and manage deadlines for filings, responses, court appearances, and mediation requirements, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
      5. Billing and Timekeeping: Record billable hours accurately and assist with preparing invoices for clients.
    3. Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
      1. Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
    4. One or more years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on family law or litigation preferred.
      1. Familiarity with family court procedures, filing requirements, and local rules.
      2. Experience preparing financial affidavits, statements of income and expenses, and asset/liability summaries.
      3. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
      4. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
      5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
      6. Experience with document management and e-filing systems.
      7. Prior courtroom, mediation, or hearing preparation experience preferred.
      8. Adaptability and willingness to take on new tasks as they arise.
      9. Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision.
      10. Ability to structure complex projects efficiently and set/adjust priorities effectively; superior attention to detail; excellent judgment and use of discretion.
      11. Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
